2. Acceptance and Use of the Website

By using this website, you agree to comply with applicable laws and these Terms and Conditions.

If you purchase a product, register for a workshop or agree to a consultancy service, the relevant transaction terms will also apply.

You may use the website for lawful personal, educational and business purposes. You may not attempt to compromise website security, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code or access information without authorisation.

3. Products and Educational Resources

Elevate 88 offers educational books, downloadable publications, professional development materials and other resources.

We aim to provide accurate product descriptions, prices and availability information. Product formats, contents and specifications are shown on the relevant product pages.

Some titles may be offered in physical and digital formats. Please check your selected format before confirming your order.

Free resources may have their own access instructions or licence terms. Unless expressly stated otherwise, they remain subject to the intellectual property provisions in these terms.

4. Prices and Payment

Product prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).

Applicable taxes, delivery fees and any other charges will be disclosed before an online order is finalised.

Online payments are processed through PayFast using the payment methods available at checkout.

Orders requiring immediate payment will generally be processed after successful payment confirmation. A payment attempt or unpaid order does not constitute confirmation that payment has been received.

If a displayed price or product description contains an error, we will address it in accordance with applicable consumer law and communicate with the customer where necessary.

5. Placing an Online Order

To place an order, select your products, review your cart and complete the checkout process.

Before placing the order, you will have the opportunity to review the transaction details and correct relevant mistakes.

Please ensure that your email, selected products and delivery information, where applicable, are accurate.

Once an order is submitted, WooCommerce may send an order acknowledgement by email. Orders remain subject to successful payment, availability and applicable transaction requirements.

Customers should retain their order confirmation and receipt. Where an account is available, relevant order records may also be accessible through that account. Copies of available transaction records can be requested from our customer support contact.

6. Physical Book Deliveries

Physical books are delivered within South Africa using The Courier Guy.

Courier charges are calculated per parcel and will be communicated or displayed before the order is finalised.

The usual delivery timeframe is approximately 3–5 working days after payment confirmation and dispatch readiness, subject to stock availability and courier operations.

This is an estimated timeframe, not a guarantee of delivery on a particular date. Any material delay will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Customers must provide a suitable delivery address and accurate contact information.

If an order is delayed, missing or damaged during delivery, please contact us for assistance.

Where an order cannot be fulfilled, we will communicate an appropriate remedy, including a refund where required.

7. Digital Products and Downloads

Digital books and downloadable resources are generally made available electronically after successful payment.

Download access may be provided through an order confirmation, customer account or secure download link.

Customers are responsible for providing a valid email address and using compatible software capable of opening the purchased file format.

If a download does not work, is incomplete or is not the product ordered, contact us for assistance.

We will investigate and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with our Refunds and Returns Policy and applicable consumer rights.

Personal-use licence

Unless a product expressly provides different licence conditions, purchasing a digital publication grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal use.

Digital publications may not be redistributed, resold, publicly uploaded, shared with unauthorised users or reproduced commercially without permission from the rights holder.

Purchasing a digital file does not transfer copyright ownership.

Nothing in these licence conditions excludes uses expressly permitted by law.

8. Refunds, Returns and Cancellations

Refunds and returns are handled in accordance with applicable South African consumer protection legislation and our published Refunds and Returns Policy.

Different considerations apply to physical books, digital products and services.

Customers retain any statutory remedies relating to defective, incorrectly supplied or non-conforming products.

Certain categories of online transactions, including the sale of books, are excluded from the general cooling-off provision in section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. Other statutory rights may nevertheless apply.

Please read our Refunds & Returns Policy for the procedure to request assistance or a refund.

9. Educational Consultancy Services

Elevate 88 provides educational consultancy services, including school leadership development, school improvement support, curriculum-related services and associated professional guidance.

Consultancy services are quoted individually according to the scope, requirements, duration and circumstances of the proposed engagement.

A quotation or service proposal may set out deliverables, professional fees, payment milestones, scheduling, responsibilities and cancellation arrangements.

Consultancy work will begin in accordance with the accepted quotation or written agreement.

If a quotation or separately agreed service contract contains specific terms, those terms will govern the relevant engagement to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Consultancy recommendations are intended to support professional decision-making. Educational institutions remain responsible for their own operational, employment and governance decisions.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, educational labour law consultation does not constitute formal legal representation.

10. Workshops and Professional Development

Elevate 88 may offer in-person workshops, online webinars and professional development programmes.

Workshop descriptions, dates, venues, fees and registration requirements will be provided with the relevant event information.

Bookings and payment

Workshop fees are generally payable in full before attendance unless an alternative payment arrangement is offered.

Where a deposit option is expressly offered, payment of the stated deposit may secure a provisional or confirmed seat, subject to the conditions communicated at registration.

Any outstanding balance must be paid by the deadline specified for the workshop. Booking confirmation will identify the applicable payment and attendance terms.

Online webinars

Online workshop and webinar access links will be supplied to confirmed participants through the appropriate registration communication.

Participants should not share private webinar access links with people who have not registered.

Rescheduling and cancellation

We may need to reschedule or cancel a workshop due to circumstances affecting the delivery of the event.

In such cases, registered participants will be informed and appropriate alternative arrangements or remedies will be offered in accordance with applicable law.

Participant cancellations and any applicable cancellation charges will be assessed in accordance with the booking terms and South African consumer protection law.

Deposits are not automatically non-refundable. Any lawful deduction or cancellation charge must be appropriate to the circumstances.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless indicated otherwise, website content, educational materials, written works, graphics and publications are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Copyright may belong to Arum Investments (Pty) Ltd, Michael Gavin Koopman or another identified rights holder.

You may not reproduce, commercially distribute or publish protected materials without the required authorisation, except where permitted by law or an applicable product licence.

References, quotations and permitted educational uses must respect applicable copyright requirements.

12. Customer Accounts and Security

Where customer accounts are available, users must provide accurate information and take reasonable care to protect their login credentials.

Please notify us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account or misuse of your order details.

We may take reasonable steps to protect accounts and website security, subject to applicable legal obligations.

13. Privacy and Personal Information

Personal information collected through enquiries, purchases, workshop registrations and subscriptions is processed according to our Privacy Policy.

Please read our Privacy Policy for information about personal data, WooCommerce, PayFast, newsletter subscriptions and your privacy rights.

14. Website Availability and Accuracy

We aim to maintain an accessible, reliable and accurate website.

However, temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, connectivity problems, software updates or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may update website information, product listings and educational content as needed.

We will address material errors affecting purchases or contractual obligations in accordance with applicable law.

15. Educational Information and Advice

Articles, general resources and publicly available educational information are intended for information and professional development.

They do not automatically replace advice tailored to the circumstances of an individual institution.

No particular educational, operational or financial outcome is guaranteed merely by using information published on the website.

Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Liability and Consumer Rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, liability arising from website use or contractual services will be assessed according to the relevant transaction, agreement and legal requirements.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts statutory warranties, consumer remedies or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Any separate consultancy agreement may contain additional lawful responsibility and liability provisions.

17. External Websites and Services

Our website may contain links to external resources, payment services or other websites.

External providers may have their own terms, privacy policies and service arrangements.

We encourage visitors to review those terms when using external services.

18. Complaints and Disputes

If you experience a problem with an order, payment, download, workshop or service, please contact us first so that we can investigate and attempt to resolve it.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify the transaction and investigate the issue.

Consumers retain the right to approach applicable regulators, consumer protection bodies, ombuds or courts where appropriate.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any dispute will be handled subject to applicable South African law, including relevant consumer protection and jurisdiction rules.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions when our services, products, operations or legal requirements change.

Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised update date.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights arising from existing purchases or agreements.
